Connolly Healthcare, the Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) for CMS Region C, posted nine new issues including ten new DRG Validations, late on July 14. Medical Necessity is still not approved for review under any of their posted issues.
New Issues Are Mostly AutomatedSeven of the new issues are for Automated Reveiw, so they require no records requests and no human review. So, the first time a provider will know about a claim being denied will be the arrival of a Denial Letter from the RAC. To see these pages, follow the links.
